Schwerin (dpa / mv) - A new Corona regulation will come into force in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on Saturday - Health Minister Stefanie Drese (SPD) sees the country well armed. "Even in view of the continuously increasing number of infections nationwide and statewide, we are well prepared for the coming months," said Drese on Friday in Schwerin. The regulation makes it possible to react to a deterioration in the situation, should this be necessary.
Furthermore, a mandatory test is a condition for access to clinics and care facilities. "In our panel of experts, we are continuously observing the development of the corona virus very closely and will take appropriate countermeasures, for example if the incidence of infection increases and the situation in the hospitals is tense," said the minister. Drese appealed to risk groups such as people over 60 and those with previous illnesses to preferably be boosted with the new Omikron vaccines.
