Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: No mask on the train: Wanted racket caught

Rostock (dpa/mv) - Because a corona protective mask was missing, the federal police in Rostock caught a violent criminal who had been wanted since December 2021. As a spokesman for the federal police said on Tuesday, the 41-year-old man was arrested on Monday evening on the S-Bahn between Rostock and Warnemünde, where officials noticed him because he was not wearing a mask. He was already wanted with an arrest warrant.

The 41-year-old was sentenced to two and a half years in prison by the Rostock district court in 2020 for dangerous bodily harm in six cases. The sentence was initially suspended. However, the probation was revoked at the end of 2021 due to repeated violations. The man of no fixed abode had gone into hiding. He was taken to a detention center where he now has almost a year left to serve.
