Rostock/Schwerin (dpa/mv) - Babette Limp-Schelling from Stäbelow near Rostock received the Order of Merit with Ribbon from Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier for her social commitment on Monday. The Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania also paid tribute to her voluntary work. "With her Rostock association Wohltat e.V., Limp-Schelling is strengthening the social infrastructure and social interaction in the city of Rostock," said Manuela Schwesig (SPD) on Monday in Schwerin. Limp-Schelling has been committed to helping people in poverty with heart and devotion for 30 years, and Schwesig thanks her for that.
According to the information, a total of 15 citizens were honored by the German head of state at the event under the motto "Living humanity: creating ways out of poverty".
