Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Parked trailer in flames: driver seriously injured

Ducherow (dpa / mv) - The driver was seriously injured in the fire of a parked semitrailer near Ducherow (Vorpommern-Greifswald district). The fire broke out in the driver's cab of the truck on Saturday afternoon, the police said on Sunday night. According to initial findings, the 44-year-old driver cooked with a gas cooker in the cabin. The man was able to get out of the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of another parked truck came to the 44-year-old's aid and was slightly injured. There was damage of around 150,000 euros.
