Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Performances in the "Chapeau Rouge" theater tent from Saturday

Heringsdorf (dpa/mv) - After a two-year Corona break, the theater tent "Chapeau Rouge" on the beach in Heringsdorf opens the new season on Saturday. There should be 69 performances in the tent this summer, as the Vorpommersche Landesbühne announced on Tuesday. It starts with the comedy "Theater, Theater", in which a late viewer is mistaken for an actor.

"This summer, the Vorpommersche Landesbühne is offering almost as extensive a program as the audience was used to from before the Corona crisis," the statement said. In addition to the theater tent, performances are planned in Wolgast, Barth and Zinnowitz. The summer season is the main season for the Vorpommersche Landesbühne: there should be a total of 187 performances. When it comes to the schedule, they rely on a mixture of "classical theater from world literature, current plays by contemporary authors, comedies and cabaret."

In addition to the opening comedy, fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm and classics such as Shakespeare's "Hamlet" will also be performed in the "Chapeau Rouge". The tent on the beach promenade could not be set up for two years - this year it will be possible again, the stage said. There are performances in the theater tent until September 3rd.
