Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Schwerin's battered volleyball players demanded in Suhl

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - The volleyball players from SSC Palmberg Schwerin hardly have time to come to terms with the 0:3 defeat at defending champion Allianz MTV Stuttgart last Saturday. Head coach Felix Koslowski's team has to play at VfB 91 Suhl on Wednesday (6.30 p.m.). Including the cup competition, it is the fourth away game for the Mecklenburg women within two weeks.

But even without the travel strains, Suhl is considered a great challenge for the Mecklenburg women. "We know it's always hot there. The hall will be full and, as always, there will be a heated atmosphere against Schwerin. But I'm looking forward to it," said Koslowski on Monday. The game in Suhl is also the best preparation for the game in Wiesbaden, the coach added. Because next Saturday (7:00 p.m.) the quarter-finals of the cup are on the program for the league rivals.

In order to leave Suhl with a sense of achievement, the medical department is also asked, according to Koslowski. "We're all dealing with a bit of a cold right now. It's currently an issue for us that everyone will get through the next few days reasonably well." However, there is still a big question mark over the injured Jazmine White and Anna Pogany, who were absent in Stuttgart.
