Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Schwerin's volleyball players win a thriller in Suhl

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - The Bundesliga volleyball team from SSC Palmberg Schwerin celebrated their fourth win in the fifth game of the season. On Wednesday evening, the team of head coach Felix Koslowski won a dramatic encounter at VfB 91 Suhl 3:1 (28:26, 20:25, 26:24, 27:25).

In the first set, Schwerin had a clear lead after the 12:12 in the meantime, but then only just avoided losing the set with great difficulty. After a quick 4-0 deficit in the second half, the guests fought back into the game for a short time, but then had increasing problems with VfB and had to accept the equaliser.

Suhl also dominated the beginning of the third period. In view of the 7:2 lead, this set seemed decided early on. But the SSC celebrated another comeback and secured the 2-1 lead with the third set ball. In the fourth set, which was also hard-fought, Schwerin finally managed to win the game with the first match ball.
