Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: SSC coach ahead of the CEV Cup: "Meeting very good opponents"

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - The volleyball players of SSC Palmberg Schwerin are already facing the next big challenge after the cup semifinals on Saturday at Allianz MTV Stuttgart. On Wednesday (7 p.m.) coach Felix Koslowski's team will welcome Zeleznicar Lajkovac from Serbia in the round of the top 32 clubs in the CEV Cup.

"It's always something very special to play against previously unknown opponents," said middle blocker Lea Ambrosius on Tuesday, looking at the first leg. And added: "I didn't know much about the Serbian team Lajkovac until the preparation - and that makes it particularly exciting."

In the Serbian league, the guests are currently in second place. The most well-known player is Ana Antonievic, who, together with Maja Ognjenovic, formed the playing duo for the current world champion for many years. "In the first game we're up against very good opponents who will demand everything from us. An exciting team with an experienced, good set player paired with many athletic young talents who are definitely at the top level," Koslowski continued. The second leg will take place on December 21st.
