Toddin/Horstmar (dpa/mv) - The South African tanker manufacturer GRW is taking over the Toddin location (Ludwigslust-Parchim district) from its partner Schmitz Cargobull. Schmitz Cargobull announced on Thursday in Horstmar, North Rhine-Westphalia, that GRW wants to manufacture tankers for the European market at the site. The company holds a 40 percent stake in GRW Holding.
According to a spokeswoman, the currently more than 80 employees will be taken over by GRW and will continue to produce truck bodies for their previous employer on a commissioned basis. Whether more jobs will be created depends on the planned expansion of GRW's European business.
