Neubrandenburg (dpa/mv) - An employee of a delivery service in the Mecklenburg Lake District has hoarded hundreds of letters and packages in an apartment. As a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday in Neubrandenburg, the man is now being investigated for embezzlement and violation of postal and telecommunications secrecy.
The man, aged in his late 50s, stored around 1,000 letters and parcels in an apartment in Mecklenburg Switzerland. According to previous investigations, the shipments were not opened. The motive for the crime is still unclear. The find was secured at the end of February. The letters and parcels were handed over to the logistics company from Neubrandenburg, which wants to record them precisely and deliver them to the recipients in a timely manner.
