Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: The district of Seenplatte will completely stop corona vaccinations from March

Neubrandenburg (dpa/mv) - The district of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte is significantly restricting its corona vaccination offers and will give them up completely from March. The district announced on Friday in Neubrandenburg. Until then, there should still be vaccination offers on certain dates in Waren, Neubrandenburg and Demmin, where there are also administrative locations. In Neustrelitz, vaccination via the district in the state ecological center will be discontinued as of January 11th. At 5,500 square kilometers, the district is by far the largest in Germany and twice the size of Saarland.

At the height of the corona pandemic, sports halls and the airport building in Trollenhagen, among other things, were converted into vaccination centers. Residents who are not mobile could still make appointments with mobile vaccination teams by telephone (0395 57087-8165 or -8139). For those who want to be vaccinated, the respective general practitioners are available for booster or first and second vaccinations.

After a high in mid-October, the number of new corona infections in MV had recently fallen again. However, the data only provide a very incomplete picture of the infection situation, since by far not all infected people undergo a PCR test. Only positive PCR tests count in the statistics.
