Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: The wave of colds in children is a topic in the cabinet

Schwerin (dpa/mv) - The state government will deal with the current wave of colds in children on Tuesday (11 a.m.) in the cabinet meeting. Respiratory diseases are currently increasing nationwide, mainly due to influenza viruses and the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). In some regions, children's hospitals are reaching their limits. According to Health Minister Stefanie Drese (SPD), Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is still at the beginning of the RSV wave. MV is currently supporting the cities of Hamburg and Berlin with the admission of small patients. However, Drese expects the situation in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to worsen.
