Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Three burglars arrested in Schwerin

Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The police in Schwerin arrested three men after breaking into a nursing home. Two employees of the nursing service had observed the burglary on Saturday night and alerted the police. Officers found signs of a break-in at a ground-floor window and heard the suspects rummaging through the room, police said. When the men noticed the officers, they fled in different directions. According to the information, one of the suspects jumped into the Werder Canal, but was received by officials on the other bank. The escape of the other men was also unsuccessful. All three were arrested. The detention check was not completed on Saturday.
