Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: truck collides with railway in the fishing port

Rostock (dpa/mv) - A truck and a railway collided in the Rostock fishing port on Wednesday. As a police spokeswoman said, there was "considerable damage to property", which cannot yet be precisely quantified. The 52-year-old truck driver was unharmed, the cause of the accident is still unclear. However, it is being investigated whether the driver could have overlooked a traffic light for the railway line. Traffic in the fishing port was temporarily obstructed during morning rush hour. Further details are not yet known.
