Carpin (dpa/mv) - One injured person and around 100,000 euros in damage is the result of a truck accident on Friday morning near Carpin (Mecklenburg Lake District). As a police spokesman said, a truck driver drove his vehicle off federal highway 198 and rolled over. The truck was loaded with chipboard, and the driver was injured and taken to a clinic. A closure must be expected during the recovery with a crane. The cause of the accident is still unclear. Trucks in southern Mecklenburg like to use the B198 as an east-west main route to Hamburg and Western Europe, as an alternative to the A20.
