Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Two quad drivers seriously injured in a collision in Vellahn

Vellahn (dpa / mv) - In a head-on collision between two quads in Vellahn (Ludwigslust-Parchim district), two 45 and 38-year-old men were seriously injured. The two vehicles collided in a curve on Friday evening for an unknown reason, as the Rostock police announced on Saturday. The 45-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown to a hospital by rescue helicopter. An ambulance took the 38-year-old to the hospital. Both quads were no longer roadworthy after the accident. According to the police, there was property damage of around 20,000 euros. Quads are four-wheeled motor vehicles with a seat that were originally built for off-road use.
