Ribnitz-Damgarten (dpa/mv) - Two people were seriously injured in a failed overtaking maneuver on Landstraße 191 near Sanitz. An 84-year-old driver lost control of the vehicle after an aborted attempt to overtake a tractor, drove into the ditch and collided with a tree, the police inspection in Stralsund announced on Wednesday. The man and his 83-year-old passenger were seriously but not life-threateningly injured on Tuesday afternoon.
They were taken to a Rostock clinic by the rescue workers. According to the police, the car suffered property damage of around 16,000 euros.
