Greifswald (dpa/mv) - Two people were seriously injured in an accident on the A20 between Gützkow and Greifswald on Saturday evening. According to the police, a 48-year-old and his 60-year-old passenger drove their car off the road to the right and rolled over several times. When the car finally came to a stop, the driver was able to get out of the vehicle on his own. His passenger had to be taken out of the car by firefighters.
Both occupants were seriously but not life-threateningly injured and taken to a hospital, police said on Sunday. The cause of the accident initially remained unclear, the property damage is said to be around 9,000 euros. The A20 in the direction of Lübeck was completely closed for about an hour while the accident was being recorded.
