Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: weeks before New Year's Eve: the police ended the firecracker party

Parchim (dpa/mv) - Men in Parchim celebrated Carnival hours too early and New Year's Eve weeks too early - and thus caused police operations. As a police spokesman said on Friday, angry residents called the officials because firecrackers were suddenly set off at around 3 a.m. in the morning. Between the apartment buildings, a 23-year-old and 25-year-old resident had set up their party zone with loud music. Officials confiscated the unlit firecrackers and arranged for the music and drinking to stop for good. The officers had already arrived half an hour earlier.

The men had celebrated with loud music and noise in one of the apartments and bothered the neighbors. They are now being investigated for violating the Explosives Act and because of the noise. The firecrackers belonged to a higher danger class, which may only be ignited between New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve. The incident happened in the Weststadt prefabricated building area. A plausible motive was not known, it said. "After the second mission, however, it was quiet," said the spokesman.
