Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: wheel loader tilts forward as in a stunt: driver injured

Tempel (dpa/mv) - A wheel loader loaded with gravel had an unusual accident on a road near Tempel (West Pomerania-Rügen) on Thursday. As a police spokesman said, the construction machine suddenly tipped forward during a braking maneuver and then stood upside down on the road, so to speak. The reason was probably a very high gravel load in the shovel at the front, which pulled the machine forward - accelerated by the abrupt braking. The 64-year-old driver hit his head on the windshield and was injured in a clinic. Two more construction machines were needed to erect the telescopic wheel loader again. Only the gravel had to be cleared separately from the road.
