Stralsund (dpa / mv) - A 19-year-old from the district of Rügen lost around 35,000 euros through online fraud. The woman had accepted an alleged job as a so-called app tester via the Internet, the Stralsund police said on Wednesday. The 19-year-old set up a bank account for the job offer and gave the access data to the supposed employer. After her salary had initially been credited to the account, the scammers debited large sums and blocked access to the account. The victim filed a complaint on Tuesday.

According to the police, the woman had placed an online advertisement in which she stated that she was looking for a job. The scammers then sent her the job offer as an app tester. According to the police, victims of this scam are often promised an above-average salary for testing apps.
