Bad Doberan (dpa/mv) - The music of the eccentric rock musician Frank Zappa (1940-1993) continues to have its fan base. After two years of the compulsory Corona break, the Zappanale, named after the musician, attracted around 1,800 fans to the racetrack near Bad Doberan at the weekend, according to the organizers. The musician has been commemorated there with a festival since 1989.
Even if the festivals, which were forced to be moved to the Internet in the previous two years, met with a great response, at least in 2020, everyone would have enjoyed the personal encounter again very much. "It was like a big family reunion," said Zappanale spokesman Thomas Weller.
