An 86-year-old accidentally drove his car down the stairs of a passenger tunnel at a Munich train station instead of into the parking garage entrance.
A federal police spokesman reported on Wednesday that the car had slid down the stairs of the underpass when, fortunately, no one was there. Nobody was injured in the incident on Tuesday at the Allach S-Bahn station.
The fire department recovered the senior's car from Munich. According to the information, he wanted to drive home afterwards. Because the police on site could not determine what damage the car was, the man was forbidden to continue driving. The 86-year-old will also not be able to avoid having his general driving ability checked, it said.
