Navarra The fire in Cintruénigo that has forced the residents of that town and Fitero to confine themselves has been extinguished

The fire declared in a warehouse of the Navarra Recycling Center in Cintruénigo, with containers with construction material inside, has already been controlled by firefighters, the Civil Guard has reported.

The incident has caused the eviction of workers from three adjoining warehouses and has confined the population of Fitero and Cintruénigo due to the cloud of smoke produced. Neighbors have been urged to stay in their homes with doors and windows closed.

At 12:00 p.m. this Friday, the Service Operations Center (COS) of the Civil Guard of Navarra has displaced the patrols closest to the place. There were also several Tudela Fire Departments, Foral Police and Cintruénigo Local Police.

The Local Police have reported on their social networks that the cloud generated by the fire is toxic and has asked residents near the area to confine themselves to their homes and close doors and windows.

The emergency services of the Government of Navarra have also made the same recommendation. They have also made a safety belt in the area for the movement of people and for the circulation of vehicles trying to avoid the smoke that the fire gave off and have evicted the workers from three adjoining warehouses.

Shortly before three in the afternoon, the Cintruénigo Local Police reported the end of the risk to the population.

At the same time, the La Rioja Emergency Center also made public the lifting of preventive measures in that community.
