The countdown begins: After six long years, Beyoncé fans don't have to wait much longer. Her new album "Renaissance" with 16 new tracks is scheduled to be released in July - and that could just be the first part.

Beyoncé appears to be back with new music. The musician has announced a comeback project entitled "Renaissance". The new album is scheduled to be released on July 29th. Apparently, fans can also look forward to an encore, the singer speaks of "Act I" in her Instagram bio.

Beyoncé released her sixth studio album, Lemonade, in April 2016. She recently removed her profile picture from all of her social media channels, leading to speculation from fans. Now, after six years, they can look forward to new music.

But her fans didn't have to do without Beyoncé's music entirely. Since Lemonade, she has also released a collaborative album with Jay-Z, Everything Is Love, in 2018. In 2019, she released The Lion King: The Gift, the soundtrack for Disney's animated remake of The Lion King. In November 2021, she released a single, "Be Alive", for the soundtrack of the film "King Richard".

Her fans have been waiting patiently for new music since last year. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar magazine, she said she's back to work on new music: "After all the isolation and injustice of the past year, I think we're all ready to break out, travel, love and again to laugh," she said. "I sense a renaissance is happening and I want to help in any way I can to encourage that escape. I've been in the studio for a year and a half."
