New titles, raises for 2 Easton city administrator jobs

Easton City Council unanimously approved new job descriptions and raises for two administrative posts.

Council agreed to do away with the job of public works director and replace it with a deputy city administrator/director of public works.

The public works job paid $99,438 a year. The deputy city administrator will earn $102,421.

Dave Hopkins is the current public works director.

Council also signed off on a plan to replace the accounting and payroll supervisor with a deputy director of finance. The old job paid $69,588 a year. The new one pays $71,678.

Council also agreed to eliminate a Clerk 1 job in the finance department. That job came with a $35,707-a-year salary.

The new jobs were approved with no discussion on Wednesday.
