Cologne (dpa / lnw) - The offensive footballer Marvin Obuz changes for the next season on loan from the Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln to the second division club Holstein Kiel. As the Cologne team announced on Tuesday, the 20-year-old Obuz, who has not yet played in the first division, should gather match practice in Kiel and develop further. "With the loan to Kiel, we want to enable Marvin to take the next step at a higher level so that he can return next year more mature and with important experience," said Thomas Kessler, head of FC's licensed player department.
The German junior international Obuz signed a professional contract with 1. FC Köln in April 2021, which runs until 2024. He made his competitive debut in the professional team last October in the DFB Cup. In the past season, he was mostly used in the Cologne regional league team.
