North Rhine-Westphalia: 1000 liters of sulfuric acid leaked on industrial premises

Kamen (dpa / lnw) - Around 1000 liters of sulfuric acid escaped on an industrial site in Kamen (Unna district). An employee of the affected company was slightly injured, as a fire department spokesman announced on Tuesday. It was initially unclear why the chemical leaked early in the morning. After about an hour and a half, the emergency services stopped the exit. There was therefore no danger to residents. Now it is being checked how the sulfuric acid is to be eliminated, said the fire department spokesman.
