North Rhine-Westphalia: 15-year-old drives in wavy lines on the highway

Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A 15-year-old took a car for a spin on Autobahn 4 near Aachen and was stopped there by the police. Other drivers called the emergency number on Saturday evening because the 15-year-old was driving in wavy lines, the police said on Sunday. He was finally stopped at the Aachen-Laurensberg exit. Where the teenager got the car from was initially unclear. The car had been deregistered a few days earlier, it said. According to a police spokesman, however, it was neither stolen nor did it belong to the 15-year-old's parents. The 15-year-old is now facing criminal proceedings for driving without a license and for violating the compulsory insurance law.
