Winterberg (dpa / lnw) - Because of snow and ice, the police in the Hochsauerland district were called to 18 traffic accidents. In an accident on Friday near Winterberg, one person was slightly injured, the police said on Saturday. In the other cases, there was only damage to the vehicles. The police cited snow and slippery roads as the cause of the individual cases. Traffic accidents on slippery roads had occurred particularly near Winterberg and Brilon. The German Weather Service (DWD) also reported temperatures below 0 degrees for the coming days - especially in the mountains - and at the same time warned of ice in some areas.
