Hamm (dpa / lnw) - A 19-year-old was seriously injured by an electric shock when climbing up an overhead line mast at the Hamm train station. According to the police, he suffered severe burns on Wednesday evening after climbing the mast at the freight yard. Such accidents are therefore mostly fatal.
The seriously injured man even managed to call for help on his own. Due to his burns, the forces had to put him in an artificial coma on site. He was then flown to a special hospital by a rescue helicopter. It was initially unclear why the man had climbed the mast.
