North Rhine-Westphalia: 28-year-old stabbed in the stomach after an argument

Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A 28-year-old was stabbed after a dispute in front of a pub in downtown Cologne. He suffered a serious injury from a stab in the abdomen, the police and prosecutors announced on Sunday. The crime happened early Sunday morning after a dispute between two men escalated. A little later, the police arrested a 43-year-old suspect nearby. A knife was found on him. The 28-year-old victim was operated on in a hospital and was no longer in mortal danger, it was said. The police are asking witnesses for information about the crime in order to be able to clarify the background.
