Siegen (dpa / lnw) - A 31-year-old man from Siegen is said to have attacked his neighbor with an ax and seriously injured him. As the police and prosecutors announced, witnesses heard calls for help from an apartment building early on Friday morning and dialed the emergency call. Police officers found a seriously injured 28-year-old in front of the house.

According to initial investigations, the 31-year-old is said to have forced his way into his neighbor's apartment and then immediately attacked him with an axe. The injured man was able to escape from the apartment in front of the house. The suspect was arrested at his home. The motive for the crime is so far unclear. A homicide detective is investigating an attempted homicide.
