North Rhine-Westphalia: 33-year-old hit by truck and fatally injured

Beckum (dpa / lnw) - A 33-year-old man was hit by a truck on Saturday night in Beckum (Warendorf district) and fatally injured. A 32-year-old truck driver from Gelsenkirchen was driving on the B 475 federal road when the man suddenly found himself on the road at the level of a factory access road, the police said. The 33-year-old Beckumer died at the scene of the accident. The course of the accident will be determined. The highway was closed in both directions for several hours.
