Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A 49-year-old was brutally beaten by two women at Cologne Central Station and then robbed by a young person. In the incident, the man also suffered a nasal bone fracture, the federal police said on Friday. The beatings came on Thursday evening.

According to the police, there was initially a dispute between a 21-year-old and the later victim in the train station. The drunk woman repeatedly hit the drunk 49-year-old in the face with her fist. Railway employees informed the police. The woman was temporarily arrested.

Thanks to witnesses and video recordings, it was determined that a second woman, a 34-year-old known to the officers, was also involved in the brutal beatings, police said. However, she was no longer at the scene of the crime.

It was also noticed that the 49-year-old's EC card and five euros in cash were stolen after the beating. The suspect in this case was a 16-year-old who had been taken into custody.
