North Rhine-Westphalia: 77 foreign perpetrators deported from NRW

Düsseldorf (dpa/lnw) - The state of North Rhine-Westphalia deported 77 people between April 2021 and June of this year. They were included in the new project "foreign multiple and intensive offenders" (aMIT). As can be seen from the response of the Ministry of Integration to a request from the AfD in the state parliament, a total of 1353 cases have been recorded in the aMIT project so far.

According to the state government, everyone involved sees the project as a success. It was started in April 2021 by the NRW Integration Ministry, the Düsseldorf Ministry of the Interior and the State Criminal Police Office. "Case management" had already been set up beforehand, which is generally about the faster deportation of criminally conspicuous or "persons with significantly negative social behavior". aMIT was then added as a special project. The abbreviation is also used by the Federal Ministry of the Interior.
