Rheinberg (dpa / lnw) - An 82-year-old was run over by her car in a parking lot in Rheinberg (Wesel district) and suffered life-threatening injuries. The woman was next to her parked car on Friday afternoon and suddenly realized that it was rolling backwards on the sloping parking lot, the police said. You tried to stop the vehicle on your own. She fell and was dragged a few meters by the car. A front wheel then rolled over the woman's legs and feet.
A few minutes after the accident, a 51-year-old found the elderly woman next to the car and gave first aid. The 82-year-old was then taken to hospital by ambulance. The parking lot was completely closed to vehicles while the accident was being investigated. The woman's car was seized as evidence.
