North Rhine-Westphalia: a man runs onto the tracks in Bochum: rail traffic is disrupted

Bochum (dpa / lnw) - Because, in his own words, he wanted to get to Hagen as quickly as possible, a 30-year-old jumped onto the track bed at the main station in Bochum on Saturday evening and started running across the tracks. All train drivers driving in the area were then informed, the federal police said on Sunday. A 51-year-old train driver recognized the man on the tracks, stopped her regional train and persuaded the 30-year-old to get on.

At the Witten train station, the next scheduled stop for the regional train, the 30-year-old was then received by federal police forces. An investigation was initiated against the man for disruptive actions. Several trains were delayed because of the incident, it said.
