Bochum (dpa / lnw) - A person died in a fire in an apartment building in Bochum. Four others were injured on Saturday night and taken to the hospital, the fire department said. The house is uninhabitable after the fire.

According to the fire department, there was a fire in an apartment on the third floor. The dead person was found inside. The fire brigade and police initially gave no information on age and gender. The building was full of smoke from the second floor, which injured the four other people.

Most of the residents were accommodated in alternative accommodation provided by the landlord. The social welfare office of the city of Bochum provided accommodation for four of them. The cause of fire was unclear for the moment.
