Cologne (dpa / lnw) - Drivers in the Rhineland must expect detours and longer driving times on three weekends in June and July in the south of Cologne. There are full closures on the A4 motorway in the direction of Aachen between the Cologne-Heumar and Cologne-Poll motorway triangles. The roadway has to be renewed at short notice for safety reasons for around three kilometers, as the responsible federal highway GmbH announced on Wednesday. In order to keep the burden low, the work will be divided into three periods. The A3 (Oberhausen-Frankfurt) is also affected on the first weekend (June 10). There are further closures from June 15th to 19th and July 1st to 4th.
Traffic will be diverted to other sections and junctions.
