Bonn (dpa / lnw) - Two years after mask refusers appeared in a supermarket in Troisdorf, the Bonn regional court acquitted a 33-year-old in a second trial. The accused - according to the verdict on Friday - did not provoke the violent situation at the time. She also did not resist the police's request to show her personal details.
The case against the 33-year-old was once separated in the case because she had given birth to a child eight days before the main proceedings in June 2021. In the process a year ago, two men were then given suspended sentences. You went to the supermarket without mouth and nose protection to protest against the mask requirement in the corona pandemic and triggered a police operation in which two officers were injured. One of the men was assigned to the "Reichsbürger" scene.
According to the verdict, the 33-year-old stood aside with a shopping cart. She was also touched by an officer. As a result, her brother - according to the verdict - "as if out of his mind" rushed towards the officials to protect his sister. When her partner and the second officer came along, things "went topsy-turvy."
However, according to the verdict, the accused did not take part in the violence, but instead tried to separate the men. Central evidence for the Chamber was the video from a surveillance camera in the supermarket.
Prosecutors had asked for a five-month suspended sentence for intentionally assaulting police officers. It has not yet been decided whether the authorities will appeal against the acquittal.
