The public prosecutor's office in Aachen confirmed this on Tuesday on request. The "Aachener Nachrichten" had previously reported. The suspect is in custody on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm, said a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office. The victim is still in the hospital.
