Siegburg (dpa / lnw) - After the amok alarm at a secondary school in Siegburg, the police stopped searching the building. The operation there was completed, all students would be handed over to their parents, the police said on Twitter. Witnesses had reported a suspect who is said to have shot in the air with a long gun at the school. Police found the remains of fireworks. Two young men were asked and would be questioned, said a police spokesman.

Meanwhile, bomb disposal officers are investigating a suspicious backpack found near a vocational college at the Siegburg train station. The train service was temporarily suspended for this purpose. The backpack is said to have come from a suspect.
