Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - In Düsseldorf, two other people were diagnosed with monkeypox. "According to their own statements, the persons concerned previously had unprotected anonymous sexual intercourse, which presumably also led to contact with monkeypox," the city said on Tuesday. There are now four known cases in Düsseldorf.
The health department of the state capital again pointed out that transmission from person to person occurs mainly through close physical contact: “In the current global outbreak, men who have sex with men are particularly affected; however, the infection can be transmitted through any close physical contact ."
