Euskirchen (dpa / lnw) - A driver left his two seriously injured passengers after an accident. The three men from Leverkusen were on the B258 near Ahrhütte (Euskirchen district) on the night of Sunday, the police announced on Monday. The driver lost control of the car in a curve. The vehicle hit a tree on the right side.
The driver took a short walk away. He returned a short time later and asked the two seriously injured inmates to flee. However, the men trapped in the car could not get out. The driver then fled in another car. The passengers were taken to hospitals. The driver turned himself in to the police on Sunday evening.
