North Rhine-Westphalia: Allegedly false police officers reported: arrest

Freudenberg (dpa / lnw) - A woman from Freudenberg (Siegerland) wanted to report two supposedly false police officers to the police station in Siegen on Thursday evening - and then came to the detention cell herself. Because when the complaint and personal details of the 33-year-old were recorded, it turned out that there were two arrest warrants against them, the Siegen police said on Friday.

According to the information, two real detectives from the police inspection in Betzdorf had previously rung the bell at the woman in Freudenberg. She did not open the door for the two people who were dressed in civilian clothes and not in police uniforms because she doubted that they were real police officers. The woman then wanted to report these two. It turned out that the Betzdorf officers had visited her because of the existing arrest warrants.

The woman said she was unaware of the warrants and was surprised to find herself in police custody. From there, the 33-year-old should be transferred to prison on Friday.
