Grevenbroich (dpa / lnw) - An apartment fire in an apartment building in Grevenbroich with one dead is said to have been set intentionally. The police announced this on Monday. The suspect is the 57-year-old homeowner, who may also be the dead man. However, the identity of the person found has not yet been finally clarified. Meanwhile, investigations are being made into attempted murder and serious arson.
The fire happened last Friday. According to earlier information, another person was slightly injured because of the smoke gases. The residential building and a neighboring apartment building, to which the flames threatened to spread, had evacuated as a precaution.
