Eschweiler (dpa / lnw) - After an arson attack on a pizzeria in Eschweiler near Aachen, the police are looking for the perpetrator with photos from a video camera. The Aachen public prosecutor announced on Tuesday that the still unknown man had forced his way into the camera-monitored pizzeria in the middle of the night. Investigators classified the crime as attempted homicide.
The stranger poured a flammable liquid over the floor and furnishings and then set it on fire. It was just a coincidence that the fire in the residential and commercial building did not cause major damage and no residents were injured. A police homicide detective is investigating. The fire was set on August 8th.
