Bielefeld (dpa / lnw) - Unknown perpetrators blew up an ATM in Bielefeld on Saturday night and destroyed several of the bank's shop windows. The perpetrators fled, the police said. It was therefore unclear whether they could loot money.
According to the police, the perpetrators first fled on foot and then drove away in a black car, according to witnesses. A photo shows that the explosion broke several shop windows, and the area in front of the bank branch was littered with shards. Experts from the fire brigade checked the statics of the house in Bielefeld's Heepen district. The building is still usable, the apartments above the branch are habitable, said a police spokesman.
