North Rhine-Westphalia: Bank employees in Minden threatened with a saw: prosecution

Minden (dpa / lnw) - After a robbery with an unusual instrument, a 26-year-old has to answer before the Bielefeld district court from January. According to information from Thursday, the public prosecutor's office accuses the man of having masked and threatened a bank employee in Minden in the Minden-Lübbecke district with a saw in August 2022. According to the indictment, the 26-year-old held the 35-centimetre-long tool to the woman's upper arm and demanded money. He then stole 150 euros in coins that were in a safe in the checkout area.

13 days later he is said to have attacked a casino, also in Minden. Masked, he threatened an employee with a 30 centimeter long knife and again demanded money. The robbery failed, the woman pursued the perpetrator as he fled and called the police. According to the indictment, the 26-year-old threatened to stab her. He was arrested days later in downtown Minden. According to the public prosecutor's office, the accused has so far remained silent on the allegations.
